Meet the Founder
A native of Raleigh, NC, Jalan has always displayed a passion for the creative arts. With a bachelor's and master's degree in the sciences, he felt it helped him recognize how to use his capabilities to his advantage. He defines his platform through simplicity, creativity, and versatility. What inspires Jalan is the cliche saying of "trying everything at least once in a lifetime". From discovering a love for photography, skateboarding, and even graphic designing, it is what he believes, makes him unique amongst his peers. While overcoming adversity, Jalan identified a way to service his community through his unique skillsets. TheProudBlackBrand was discovered upon the idea of finding ways to help bring Black Culture to a rise through his intricate mind, and fresh ideas.
